Now, let’s get a bit more in depth and look closer at everything that this automatic fish feeder has to offer – including the potential drawbacks.
This is Amazon’s best selling automatic fish feeder at the moment of writing, so you know it’s appreciated by others, not just myself.
With its sizable container, I easily store various fish feeds in it, including pellets, granules, and powders.
The best part? Its adjustable slider lets me precisely manage how much food my fish receive, so you never run the risk of overfeeding.
This feeder’s dual feeding modes – auto and manual – are also useful, depending on your situation.
I can program it to feed at 12, 24, or 48-hour intervals, or opt for a manual feed when needed.
I prefer to feed my fish manually when I am at home – this is part of the experience, after all – but when really busy and especially when away from home, the auto option is perfect.
Plus, its long-lasting battery is USB-rechargeable, which means I’m not constantly swapping out batteries. Just don’t forget to recharge it before traveling, and you’re all set!

Setting up the Petbank Feeder is a breeze. Whether using the clamp for tank rims or the sticker for tank lids, it fits well on most square or rectangular aquariums.
However, it’s not without its quirks. If you use flake food, watch out for potential mold growth inside the feeder after a week or so. In this case, it’s best to add smaller amounts that are used up faster.
Also, if you’re not a fan of the clamp mount, you’ll need to apply double-sided tape directly to the feeder – a bit of a hassle since there’s no dedicated plastic plate for this purpose.
But overall, you will have few reasons – if any – to REALLY complain about this automatic fish feeder. It’s a great choice, and the best on the market, in my opinion.
